The Effects of Chronic Stress

Do you feel stressed out?

Burnout, frayed nerves, distractedness, emotional exhaustion that just doesn't quit -- all are symptoms of chronically high stress levels.

In the modern world there's too much to do and too little time to do it! Multitasking was supposed to be the answer, but it really just adds more stress.

Beat Your Stress With Deep Relaxation

Deep Relaxation is the way to resolve chronic stress, bringing relief and healing from stress, exhaustion and emotional fatigue.

Relaxation encourages your muscle tension to melt away and your brain to slow down from its mad pace. Deep Relaxation provides your body the recuperation you need so you can return to being yourself once again.

Deep Relaxation is a whole-body state in which you let go deeply. There is no muscle tension in your body; your breathing is relaxed and regular; your thoughts are silent, calm and still. You experience no moving and no trying. Your mind is calmly alert while your body is relaxed. Thus, Deep Relaxation is different from sleep. When you finish your interval of Relaxation and come back to your customary alertness you feel rested with a sense of well-being, as if you have just awakened from a relaxing nap.

Deep Relaxation is Easy and Effective

Deep Relaxation is efficient and works well. You gain a tangible stress management result in a few minutes, normally only thirty minutes. You can go back to your regular activity immediately afterwards, feeling more alert, more imaginative, and more resilient.

There are many approaches to achieve Deep Relaxation. All of these approaches can help your body to achieve the Relaxation Response, which is Deep Relaxation:

It's not always easy to permit yourself the time to "let go" and relax. It may seem as if your world (business, family, getting things done) will crumble if you slow down even for a few moments. It won't!

Allowing yourself a few moments to relax will enable you to go back to your daily activities with renewed energy and effectiveness.

Relaxation to bring down stress is probably something I work on all the time. I give myself the time to destress each day so I dont end up frazzled at the end of the week. Listening to relaxation tapes have been my preferred method as I find it easier to do that first before attempting to meditate. I enjoyed reading your hub.

You can even try exercising and deep breathing; they also help.
